Passionate educator and author, Joan Groves, teaches self-discovery through the story of the meaningful saga of a little, prodigal cat in “Where Is My Home?”

Joan Groves seems to be doing well in her quest to encourage as many people as possible, irrespective of the age group, to discover themselves and appreciate the seemingly little things as she narrates the story of Sonic, one of four siblings in the caring household of the Jakes family in Where Is My Home?

Where Is My Home? is based on the true story of a cat named, Sonic, who traveled 30 miles, overcoming different obstacles, including weather, hunger, traffic, fear, and a host of others to reunite with his family. The case is likened to the story of the prodigal son but this time from the viewpoint of a cat.

The children’s book contains graphic illustrations that will capture the attention of readers, including adults, teaching them life lessons in a fun and entertaining way. The paperback version of Where Is My Home? is currently available on Amazon.

About Joan Romney Groves

Joan Romney Groves is an experienced educator who worked as an elementary school counselor for 23 years before retiring, receiving the 2004 Utah School Counselor of the Year Award. She holds a BS (cum laude) from the University of Utah and an MEd from Brigham Young University. The mother of 6 and the grandmother of 28 wants children to learn empathy and character development through true stories. She has published “The Antique Organ and Other Stories” for the Gale History Center, as well as family histories.
