The startup kicks off its art project series with augmented audio collectible creatures

Following their launch of the Audio Metaverse earlier this summer, Doki Doki Inc. is collaborating with creators to release art projects built on sound. These projects will be showcased within the augmented audio reality environment.

Crypto Fuzzy is the first interactive sound art NFT project that Doki Doki has released for their audio metaverse. It features mysterious creatures, whose unique voices can be heard in individual sound spaces, called Cubes. A user can buy a Crypto Fuzzy NFT on the OpenSea marketplace, interact with them and show them to other users in the Audio Metaverse.

“We’re very excited to launch our first sound art NFT project in the Audio Metaverse,” says Doki Doki CEO Takahito Iguchi. “Crypto Fuzzies represent the next step in NFTs from simple collectibles to being works of art that maximize their digital nature with enhanced interactivity. This major next step in the crypto landscape has put us on the map as one of the pioneers of NFTs.”

People who buy a Crypto Fuzzy can care for the creature and spend time with it whenever they need to. Each Crypto Fuzzy shows its individual character with its uniquely generated voice. Owners can move their Crypto Fuzzies around in the metaverse or keep them as pets in private Audio Metaverse cubes, away from all the crowds. Whenever an NFT holder enters the Audio Metaverse, their Crypto Fuzzies will be waiting for them.

Collectibles in the NFT market are becoming increasingly popular, with some commanding upwards of $69 million. Even so, most NFTs lack utility or interactivity. Doki Doki is changing this with NFT audio collectibles that you can interact with in the Audio Metaverse.

There are still endless possibilities within the scape of sound. Through their sound art project series within the Audio Metaverse, Doki Doki is demonstrating these possibilities. Crypto Fuzzy is the first project in the series. The collection will be available on the OpenSea marketplace from November.

About Doki Doki Inc.

With offices in San Francisco and Kyoto, Doki Doki has been developing voice-based social platforms since 2016. In 2017, Doki Doki released the apps Baby and Ball, which were both early voice social networks. The next app they released in the U.S. is Dabel, a social audio app. On this platform, over 80,000 users have connected with other users they just met in live conversations. The team also has a strong focus on app accessibility, making sure users with visual impairments can enjoy the platform as well.

Doki Doki was founded by Takahito Iguchi, who has been a leader in the XR (Cross Reality) field. He developed the augmented reality app Sekai Camera and, later in 2013, the Telepathy wearable device. In 2019, Iguchi led Doki Doki in creating Dabel, before shifting the team to focus on the Audio Metaverse.
